Evolve Selection Case Study...
AAs recruitment specialists in the very competitive pharmaceutical, dental and health sectors, the key for recruiters is being found in the search engines. According to Forrester Research, 72% of people looking for a new product or service start their search here. Fortunately, Google are open about what they look for to promote a business in the search results and this knowledge applied to the Evolve website brought excellent results from the very start.
Lyndon Ogden, Online Marketing Director at ICE Innovation first spent time with the team at Evolve to develop a key online strategy for the online growth of their business. This took place at their offices in Wakefield at the same time as their brand strategy and website strategy session with Sammy and Miles to create a completely aligned strategy for growth, before launching their online marketing campaign.
Having identified huge areas of potential, Lyndon invested time into keyword research, link building and SEO along with some of our other 18 different ways to help our clients get found on the search engines.
The next stage for Evolve (and recommended for all recruitment companies) was implementation of RSS feeds to allow potential applicants to subscribe and receive pertinent new job opportunities via their desktop without having to visit the website every day. This doubles the reach of your recruitment website design, as it lets the recruiter push their content out to the outside world rather than just pull people in to the website. The RSS can also be used to automatically interface with Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and over thirty specialist RSS search engines.
Within the first three months of launching the new Evolve website design, it showed a 46% increase in traffic levels - Up from their previous website. They also received a 93% increase in the number of websites referring them traffic. In addition, Evolve were found for 31% more search terms then three month previous.
This success is due to the ICE methodology of keyword research, which is then used to optimise the website content on your website. We can then apply for and establish very high quality links to your website pages from third party websites, which in turn helps you to establish credibility with Google.

Tom Wood Florist Case Study...
Tom Wood Florists wanted to not only dominate the Doncaster area with a great brand design and website design, but to also break out and compete nationally as an online florist. In addition, they needed a website that would engage and convert visitors to customers.
ICE Innovation worked closely with the Directors at Tom Wood to ensure a complete brand strategy was in place before developing a beautiful brand design in preparation for their national roll-out.
The team then went on to create all of the in-store graphic design and shop front, plus a bespoke new website design, including the development of their e-commerce online shop, complete with full content management system (CMS). This enables them to control their own website content to add and edit all of the content themselves.
In preparation for launch, ICE Innovation then optimised their website design for the search engines.
As well as enabling Tom Wood to keep their content up to date, the system enabled them to ensure that new pages were optimised for search engine rankings.
Following from the launch of the website, we built links from hundreds of other websites over a period of months to grow trust and credibility with the search engines and to compete with their competitors.
The results in just a short period of time were astonishing...
Within just 6 months, Tom Wood were competing at the top of the rankings regionally and are increasing on a national level. The site now has 3,423 links pointing to it, up from 371 at the beginning.
They appear on the first page of Google for 77 competitive search terms. Not only have sales dramatically increased, they now have a much higher conversion from visitors to paying customers.
Traffic continues to increase daily, as do the number of sources sending traffic via search engines. This includes the number of search terms they are now being found for.
The most important objective when building a website is how you make your website design rank as highly as possible on Google for appropriate search terms.

Heritage Case Study...
Heritage wanted to create a strong brand design to position them as market leaders with a new investment product they have developed. They knew they had a marketable product, they just didn't know where to start. ICE Innovation were highly recommended to them via an existing customer and approached ICE in 2008.
Sammy Blindell, branding specialist at ICE spent half a day with Darren Wood, Managing Director of Heritage Capital Monitoring, to clarify their brand strategy and vision for their company moving forward.
Out of the brand strategy session, Sammy defined who they are as a company, who needs to know about them and what they want their prospects to do when they've found out about the fantastic new product they've designed. From that, Sammy profiled their ideal client and thought in-depth about the kind of compelling language that their prospects would need to see or hear from them to generate curiosity and pick up the phone to place an order. This session then formed the brief for their business moving forward and work started straight away on the creation of their new brand design theme.
Having chosen their new branding concept, their corporate identity package was delivered and a website holding page has been created for them while their website design is in progress. This enabled them to develop their ideas for the website development further, whilst at least giving them a website presence.
The moment they launched their new brand design, it positioned the company in exactly the way they had expected and requested. Immediately Heritage started to receive a very positive response from existing customers, which lead to repeat business and more word of mouth referrals. It also gave the team more confidence and it was exactly what they needed to take the company forward.

Spirit2Travel Case Study...
Darren approached ICE Innovation having been referred by an existing delighted client for the brand design and website design of his new worldwide travel business. Having travelled the world, Darren founded the premise "Adventure overland travel", offering fantastic value, bespoke holidays and outstanding service.
Darren's first step of his journey was to work with branding expert Sammy Blindell and define the brand strategy for this new online business model. Miles Fryer, website design and online marketing specialist at ICE Innovation then spent time with Darren to define the unique selling points of his offering and clarify his target audience sets.
This involved developing a key strategy for the online and offline growth of the business, which took place at our website design Leeds offices. OfficeTech Case Study...
When Phil Holmes first approached ICE Innovation to work with him on his brand design, Sammy saw the potential he had within his business immediately. Having spent time with Phil on his brand strategy, it became apparent that the brand design Phil had started his business with nine months previously was actually working against him.
As a brand psychologist, Sammy identified during the brand strategy that the original InkTech brand was completely targeting the wrong clients. When Sammy explained to Phil who he was targeting, he realised this was spot on, but didn't want to target them!
Sammy came up with a plan to create a powerful brand design to target Phil's ideal prospects and enable him to grow his business organically. The brand strategy identified so many key elements of Phil's business that Sammy came up with a brand design which would grow with Phil's company to save him both time and money later on having to rebrand each time his business evolved.
As part of Phil's growth strategy, Sammy felt it important to develop a number of sub-brands to show Phil as an example of how he could evolve his offering. This worked in perfect tune with Phil's growth aspirations for InkTech and having chosen one of the five branding concepts put to him upon presentation, Sammy went to work on creating the brand icon elements for Phil's website design, business cards and branded stationery to incorporate all of the new growth areas of his business that excited him.
Like many business owners, Phil didn't realise just how important it was to work on the brand strategy first, before moving onto the more visual elements of the brand design and logo.
If Sammy hadn't worked on his brand strategy first, Phil would have just ended up with something that looked pretty, that would cost him again within a couple of years to re-brand.

Asgard Case Study...
Asgard were ambitious to grow their online sales by driving more traffic to their website through the search engines. They also wanted to investigate other online mediums capable of directing targeted visitors. The core products are secure steel structures including garden sheds and school storage.
ICE Innovation undertook the task of ongoing research to define the myriad of terms people were searching for to find this type of product.
Using our research, we then wrote hundreds of keyword rich pages of content to attract the search engines every time a person entered a search term for their type of product.
This research also resulted in the launch of many other secure products into smaller lucrative vertical markets.
The website undertook a course of on-page, search engine optimisation and the terms were further promoted by means of external link building and the launch of multiple 'mini sites' with search engine friendly URL's.
In addition, the business made successful inroads into selling on eBay, Google Shopping, Amazon and expanded their existing affiliate network.
An altogether unified online marketing approach.
A comparison from August 2009 to August 2010 shows a traffic increase of more than 101%. The number of sources referring traffic to them went up by 76%.
During August 2010, the site was found for 1,792 separate keyword terms, of which 269 appeared on Page #1 of Google.
Their web generated sales from 2009-2010 grew by 152% due to the activity and dedication of the team here at ICE Innovation.
